Euphoria – Season 3 (HBO Max)
Subscribe to Presse-citron
At last! After years of waiting, Euphoria returns for season 3 on HBO Max from 13 April 2026. Set five years after season 2, the characters we love (or don’t) are no longer in high school: they’re fully-fledged adults, with all the responsibilities that come with it. Rue is in Mexico and still owes Laurie a lot of money, which makes everything far more complicated for her. Meanwhile, Cassie and Nate appear to be living the “perfect” romance… at least until Nate discovers his fiancée’s OnlyFans account. As for Maddy, she seems to be hitting a few roadblocks trying to make it in Hollywood.
While the first season of Euphoria is an absolute gem, season 2 was more uneven despite its undeniable strengths. Now it’s a question of whether season 3 can meet expectations. Fingers crossed.
The Boys – Season 5 (Prime Video)
It’s the end of the road for The Boys. The series that gleefully skewers superheroes (and plenty more besides) will bow out after this fifth season. That means one final lap for Butcher and the gang - and we should be in for plenty of blood-soaked spectacle. Homelander is more powerful than ever, tightening his grip on the world and bending it to every whim. Our heroes - the real ones - will have to stick together and make the right calls if they’re going to win.
The final showdown starts from 8 April on Prime Video. Two episodes will drop initially, followed by a weekly release schedule.
Malcolm: Nothing Has Changed (Disney+)
What a ridiculous April lineup. Malcolm is back! After watching Malcolm and his brothers grow up for six years, we meet them again decades later - and while there have been some (major) changes, not everything is different either. Malcolm is now a father, and to protect his family happiness he’s kept his own family at a (very) safe distance. But for Hal and Lois’s 40th wedding anniversary, Malcolm is forced to dive back into the family chaos. Good luck to him…
It’s time to reunite with one of America’s most turbulent families in a four-episode run that’s guaranteed to deliver a proper hit of nostalgia. It may be brief, but it’s shaping up to be very intense. Streaming on Disney+ from 10 April 2026.
Stranger Things: Chronicles of 1985 (Netflix)
Missing Stranger Things? That’s hardly surprising. After the main series said goodbye on 1 January, the world created by the Duffer Brothers is already making a comeback on Netflix. This time, our heroes head back to 1985 in an animated series. We follow the gang as they investigate a new mystery set between the events of season 2 and season 3. Winter has arrived, and the group starts digging into strange occurrences linked to the Upside Down - and Vecna’s machiavellian plan.
Visually, Stranger Things: Chronicles of 1985 echoes the look of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, while also promising to pay tribute to 1980s cartoons. Quite the programme. Available on Netflix from 23 April.
The Testaments (Disney+)
Although The Handmaid’s Tale also wrapped up last year, Margaret Atwood’s universe returns to the small screen with The Testaments. A few years on, Agnes - June’s biological daughter and the adopted daughter of Commander Kyle and Tabitha - attends an elite preparatory school for Commanders’ daughters. After the death of her adoptive mother, Agnes finds herself scorned by her new stepmother, who becomes determined to marry her off despite her young age.
One thing’s for sure: The Testaments should be every bit as chilling as The Handmaid’s Tale. The return to Gilead is set for 8 April 2026 on Disney+.
XO, Kitty – Season 3 (Netflix)
The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before spin-off puts the spotlight on Lara Jean’s little sister. For Kitty Song Covey, it’s her final year at KISS, the international school she attends, and she’s got a very clear plan: make unforgettable memories with friends, feel closer to her family in Korea, and finally sort things out with Min Ho. But unexpected revelations upend her plans and put her relationships under strain. Predictably, nothing ever goes the way it’s meant to. On Netflix from 2 April.
