Samsung has unveiled a wine fridge. According to the press release, the Infinite AI Wine Refrigerator is designed to help you manage your wine stock in a convenient, organised way using AI.
Samsung Infinite AI Wine Refrigerator: AI-powered wine inventory management
In practical terms, it is a refrigerator built primarily for storing wine bottles, although it also includes a compartment for fruit and cheese. The standout feature is the first mass-produced AI Wine Manager function, which relies on an AI Vision camera to make it easier and more efficient to track items that need careful long-term storage. This includes a range of monitoring tasks-from checking wine information to logging receiving, storage, and consumption data.
When a bottle is placed inside, the camera identifies its location and simultaneously reads the label, automatically saving detailed information such as the wine’s name, grape variety, and vintage year.
Using the app, users can view their wine inventory, see its status, and check where each bottle is stored. They can also receive recipe suggestions for dishes that pair well with the wine they already have.
The refrigerator can hold up to 101 bottles of wine, along with fruit and cheese that go well with the drink. The interior is divided into three sections, each with its own cooling zone. Temperatures can be set from 3°C to 18°C depending on the type of wine or the ingredients stored in each section.
There is also a central compartment that offers precise temperature control across five modes: wine, ham and sausages, nuts, cheese, and fruit.
Samsung also highlights the glass door, which blocks up to 92% of ultraviolet radiation. In its home market, the new model is priced at around 4300 dollars.
