The Skoda Enyaq, originally introduced in 2020, has now received a recent update and is already on sale in Portugal, with prices starting at €41,459.

Exterior design and aerodynamics

From the outside, the most obvious change versus the previous model is the redesigned front end, which adopts the brand’s new “Modern Solid” design language and brings it into line with the new Elroq. The marque’s badge has been removed from both the nose and the tail, replaced by the “Skoda” wordmark, while the lighting signature has also been revised.

These exterior tweaks have enabled the Czech manufacturer to improve the Enyaq’s aerodynamic drag coefficient (Cx), which drops from 0.264 to 0.245. The Enyaq Coupé goes further still, with a Cx of 0.225 (down from 0.234 on the previous version).

Inside the Skoda Enyaq 2025

Changes in the cabin are more understated, but they are there. Key among them is a completely new steering wheel, which now comes with heating as standard. The front seats are also heated across the entire range. In addition, every Enyaq now includes towbar preparation.

Beyond that, the Enyaq keeps the same 13-inch infotainment display and a 5-inch screen for the instrument panel. An optional head-up display with augmented reality is also available.

Skoda offers four optional packages-Clever, Plus, Advanced and Maxx-which are separated by a range of individual features such as a panoramic sunroof, towbar installation and a heat pump.

Two batteries, plenty of powertrain choices

The Skoda Enyaq 2025 is offered with two battery capacities: 63 kWh and 82 kWh. The line-up is structured as follows:

Charging performance is improved too. Maximum DC charging power rises to 165 kW on the Enyaq 60 and to 175 kW on the Enyaq 85x; previously it did not exceed 135 kW. As a result, the 82 kWh battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes at rapid charging stations (direct current - DC).

The 63 kWh battery completes the same 10% to 80% charge in 24 minutes. On alternating current (AC), all versions charge at up to 11 kW.

RS at the top of the range

At the top of the line-up sit the Skoda Enyaq RS and Enyaq Coupé RS once again. The figures match the previous version: two motors (one per axle) and a combined output of 250 kW (340 cv)-0 to 100 km/h is dispatched in 5.4s, and top speed is limited to 180 km/h.

An 84 kWh battery delivers up to 560 km (Enyaq) and 570 km (Enyaq Coupé) of range on the combined WLTP cycle.

There is still no launch date confirmed for Portugal, but pricing has been announced and starts at €54,905.

First impressions

At this national presentation, we were able to drive the Enyaq 2025 and, even though the session was very short, it left a positive impression-just as it did when it arrived on the market in 2020.

Its familiar strengths remain intact: it is roomy and comfortable, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking a family car. Build quality (both assembly and materials) sits above the segment average and, as is typical for the brand, there are several Simply Clever solutions that continue to prove genuinely useful.

I drove the 85 version, with 210 kW (286 cv), and performance does not disappoint. The main negative point is the feel of the brake pedal, which is not especially precise or progressive in its response.

How much does it cost?
