OPPO has confirmed that the OPPO x Hasselblad Imaging New Product Launch Conference will take place on 21 April. The event is expected to showcase new devices, including the Find X9s Pro and the Oppo Find X9 Ultra.

A new post from Chinese leaker Ice Universe also backs up the imminent arrival of the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, saying they have received OPPO’s flagship handset for testing and sharing real-life, non-promotional photos of the device.

When asked by one user how impressive the camera quality is, Ice Universe replied: “Thanks to the 10x optical zoom, it delivers the sharpest image of any smartphone.”

Earlier, the manufacturer revealed more about the handset’s design and also announced a collector’s edition. The phone is set to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 3168 × 1440 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. Performance is said to be handled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 system-on-chip, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The smartphone is expected to include a 7,050 mAh battery with support for 100 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. It is also listed with an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Dimensions are reported as 163.04 × 76.91 × 9.15 mm, with a weight of 238 g.

The standout feature is the camera setup: a 50 MP front-facing camera and a rear system built around four sensors - 200 + 50 + 200 + 50 MP. The module is said to combine Sony and OmniVision sensors, including periscope units offering 3x and 10x zoom. A multispectral sensor is also mentioned, alongside support for Hasselblad teleconverters. The upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra is claimed to deliver 20x “optical-quality” zoom and up to 120x digital zoom.

Ice Universe is known for a series of accurate early reports, including the rise of waterfall displays on smartphones, the notch on the iPhone X, the updated iPhone 14 design, and Samsung’s 200-megapixel image sensor. According to the same source, exclusive details are supplied by contacts within the South Korean giant’s research and development division.
