For US$450
Amazfit has introduced the Cheetah 2 Pro smartwatch, aimed at people training for long-distance running.
Design and display of the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro
The new model uses a durable titanium case paired with sapphire glass, and it comes with a vivid 1.32-inch (3.35 cm) AMOLED display running at 60 Hz with peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. Despite the rugged build, it stays lightweight at around 45.6 g.
Running training tools and Zepp Coach
Cheetah 2 Pro runs Zepp OS 5.0 and supports Zepp Flow voice control, Bluetooth calling, and Amazon Alexa integration. The main focus, however, is sport: the Zepp Coach system creates personalised training plans ranging from 3 km to a full marathon. Runners can monitor pace, running power, lactate threshold, ground contact time, and a predicted finish time, while also using a virtual pacer (a pacer is an experienced runner who sets the speed for others in middle- and long-distance events) and a track mode.
Health tracking, GPS and battery life
Health features are handled by the BioTracker 6.0 sensor, which measures heart rate, SpO2, stress level, VO2 max, HRV, and sleep quality. The watch includes dual-band GPS with support for 6 satellite systems and promises up to 20 days of battery life. There are also more than 170 sports modes, 32 GB of storage, and 5ATM water resistance.
The price is US$450.
