Xiaomi has unveiled one of its most budget-friendly handsets in India: the Redmi 15A. The entry-level model comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, priced at US$137. There are also 4/128 GB and 6/128 GB variants, costing US$153 and US$174 respectively.

The Redmi 15A uses an IPS screen with an HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 810 cd/m². For photography, it features an 8 MP front-facing camera and a 32 MP main camera.

Powering the phone is the Unisoc T8300 SoC. On the software side, it runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0. Xiaomi says the model will receive four years of system updates and six years of security patches.

Battery, charging, and other features

A 6300 mAh battery is fitted, supporting 15 W charging as well as 7.5 W reverse wired charging. Additional highlights include IP52-rated protection against dust and splashes, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Sales begin on 3 April.
