FIAT has officially opened order books for the Topolino in Portugal. Compact, electric and deliberately city-focused, the Italian brand’s new quadricycle arrives in two versions - a closed model and the Dolcevita (open and doorless) - with both offered at the same price: 9890 euros.
Measuring just 2.53 m in length, the Topolino uses the same battery pack and the same electric motor as its cousin, the Citroën AMI: 5.5 kWh and 6 kW (8.2 hp), respectively. This set-up allows for a driving range of up to 75 km (WLTP) and a top speed of 45 km/h.
Those figures place the FIAT Topolino in the light quadricycle category, meaning it can be driven by young people from the age of 16, provided they hold an AM licence.
On the outside, FIAT has taken a stripped-back approach: a single body colour, just one wheel design, and an interior that is equally straightforward. In Dolcevita form, the lack of doors adds a carefree feel that nods directly to the spirit of the classic 500 Jolly models.
A more exclusive FIAT Topolino
For anyone after something more distinctive, FIAT has partnered with Vilebrequin - the well-known French premium swim shorts brand - to create the Topolino Vilebrequin Collector’s Edition.
This special edition stands out with two-tone paintwork - white and navy blue - a folding roof, and a collection of nautical-inspired details.
The most surprising feature is a rear trolley with an integrated shower, intended for impromptu rinses after a day at the beach. Inside, the seats are printed with the Vilebrequin logo, alongside chrome accents and teak-style finishes inspired by yachts.
Each example of this Collector’s Edition also comes with a special kit that includes a keyring featuring Vilebrequin’s iconic turtle and a letter signed by the chief executives of both brands.
FIAT Topolino price in Portugal: how much does the Topolino cost?
The FIAT Topolino can be ordered in Portugal from 9890 euros, whether you choose the closed version or the Dolcevita. The limited Vilebrequin Collector’s Edition costs slightly more, with prices starting at 13 490 euros.
