Although it is a 100% electric model, the new Porsche Macan GTS remains, first and foremost, a Porsche. And as a GTS - a badge first seen on the 1963 904 Carrera GTS - it sets out to be the most driver-focused and sporting Macan of them all.
With 420 kW (571 cv) available in overboost with Launch Control - 380 kW (517 cv) in “normal” mode - plus all-wheel drive and a bespoke calibration for the air suspension, this is the most driver-orientated version of Porsche’s electric SUV.
Peak torque reaches 955 Nm (overboost), enabling the Macan GTS to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,8s and run on to a top speed of 250 km/h, limited only by the electronics.
A 100 kWh battery delivers a range of 586 km (WLTP) and supports charging from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, at up to 270 kW.
The Sport Chrono Package is now standard on the Macan GTS. It also brings a Track mode, inspired by the Taycan, which improves battery cooling and reduces power losses under sustained load.
Electronic all-wheel drive (ePTM) is backed up by Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, using an electronically controlled locking differential. The Porsche Electric Sport Sound system offers two GTS-specific modes, with distinct “personalities” in Sport and Sport Plus.
The actively managed air suspension (PASM) has a Macan GTS-only set-up, lowering the body by 10 mm and adding new anti-roll bars. It also delivers the lowest centre of gravity across the entire Macan line-up, and can be specified with optional rear-axle steering.
Porsche Macan GTS with a sharper, more purposeful look
On the outside, the Porsche Macan GTS stands out with black detailing, new Sport Design bumpers and 21-inch wheels finished in anthracite grey. The lighting package now includes darkened Matrix LED headlights. For body colours, Carmine Red, Crayon and Lugano Blue are available. Alternatively, paint-to-sample remains on offer for anyone seeking a more exclusive, personalised shade.
Inside, the cabin features Race-Tex upholstery paired with black leather, along with 18-way electrically adjustable sports seats. The new GTS Interior Package allows the exterior colour to be echoed through stitching and seat belts. This package also adds carbon-fibre trim and “GTS” branding in matching tones.
Among the more digital features, the highlights are the Lap Timer mode and Sport Chrono telemetry. The Porsche Macan GTS also gains new assistance systems, Porsche Digital Key, optimised parking functions and even built-in games within the infotainment system.
How much does it cost?
The Porsche Macan GTS is already available to order in Portugal, with prices starting at 108,221 euros.
