The Hyundai IONIQ 9, unveiled to the public for the first time at the Brussels Motor Show in early January, is now available to order in Portugal.
Hyundai’s largest SUV measures over five metres in length (5.06 m), is almost two metres wide (1.98 m) and has a 3.13 m wheelbase. Pricing starts from €62,500 + VAT.
Offered locally with three rows of seats and a maximum capacity of seven occupants, the IONIQ 9 is designed to remain practical even when fully loaded. With all three rows in use, Hyundai quotes a 620-litre boot (SAE), rising to 1,332 litres with the third row folded down.
Hyundai IONIQ 9: up to 620 km of range
The generous footprint of this SUV is matched by its battery capacity, which totals 110.3 kWh. It sits within an 800 V electrical architecture, enabling Hyundai to claim up to 620 km of driving range (Long Range version). When it comes to charging, moving from 10% to 80% capacity takes just 24 minutes.
Several powertrain options will be available. The entry-level model (Long Range, rear-wheel drive) uses a single electric motor on the rear axle producing 160 kW (218 hp). For buyers wanting all-wheel drive, the Long Range gains a second motor on the front axle rated at 70 kW (95 hp), bringing total output to 230 kW (313 hp).

For those after stronger performance, Hyundai also offers the Performance version. It features two electric motors-one per axle-each with a maximum output of 160 kW (218 hp). Combined peak power increases to 320 kW (435 hp). In this configuration, 0–100 km/h takes just 4.9 seconds, while top speed is limited to 200 km/h.
Hyundai IONIQ 9 price: from how much?
