The BYD Atto 3 remains the Chinese brand’s best-selling model in Portugal and, to keep that momentum going, it has now been refreshed. Prices start at 42 490 euros.

As is typical with mid-cycle updates, the BYD Atto 3 hasn’t been heavily redesigned. Instead, it receives a series of smaller tweaks intended to bring it closer in look and feel to the manufacturer’s newer models.

What’s new on the outside

For 2025, the Atto 3 gains black door surrounds and a black rear pillar, along with new-design 18″ alloy wheels. There is also a new body colour available: Cosmos Black.

However, the most noticeable exterior change compared with the version we already know is the removal of the “Build Your Dreams” lettering - the meaning behind the BYD acronym - from the Atto 3 tailgate. This move aligns with what many customers had been asking for.

Updates inside the cabin

Inside, the rotating touchscreen remains, measuring 12,8″ or 15,6″ depending on the version, and it continues to be paired with a 5″ digital instrument display. A black interior comes as standard, as do the heated steering wheel, tinted rear windows and the rain sensor. The Design version adds ventilated front seats.

Another addition is NFC unlocking, already seen on other models in the brand’s line-up, allowing the car to be opened via a card or a smartphone and removing the need for a traditional key. Through the brand’s mobile app, you can also remotely set the cabin temperature and schedule charging times.

BYD Atto 3: under the bonnet, everything stays the same

Beyond that, there is little to report. The BYD Atto 3 2025 keeps the same front-mounted electric motor delivering 150 kW (204 cv) and 310 Nm, enabling 0 to 100 km/h in 7,3s (top speed limited to 160 km/h).

The Blade Battery (LFP battery) also stays at 60,4 kWh, with BYD stating a range of up to 420 km on the combined WLTP cycle, extending to 565 km in urban driving.

One of the key changes is a higher maximum DC charging power of 110 kW - previously 88 kW - which allows a charge from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes.

Finally, the BYD Atto 3 2025 comes with a driver assistance (ADAS) package, including blind-spot warning, lane keeping, intelligent cruise control and automatic braking when reversing. Towing capacity has also been increased to 750 kg.

BYD Atto 3 pricing: from how much?

The BYD Atto 3 now has pricing for Portugal, with prices starting at 42 490 euros.

BYD also states that it provides a general warranty of six years or 150 thousand kilometres, plus a battery warranty of eight years or 200 thousand kilometres.
