Baseus Card Magnetic Air pre-orders and pricing
Baseus has officially opened pre-orders for the Baseus Card Magnetic Air, which the company describes as the “first aerospace-grade safe power bank”. The announced price is 299 yuan (US$43).
Safety tests and the 2026 Chinese standard
It meets the latest 2026 Chinese standard
According to Baseus, this power bank complies with the newest Chinese standard for 2026 and has been put through a wide range of tests. These include needle-penetration testing, compression under gravitational force, and exposure to extreme temperatures.
It is said to withstand compression of up to 2 tonnes, and it will not ignite even after being punctured by a needle three times.
Design, colours, NFC and charging performance
The Baseus Card Magnetic Air comes in three colours: silver, black, and sky blue. It measures just 6.9 mm thick.
It uses what Baseus calls the world’s first Glacier temperature-control technology, which increases heat-dissipation area by 50%. Inside are new solid–liquid hybrid battery cells that meet the national standard. Battery status can also be viewed via an NFC tap.
The power bank also includes a sensor paired with an AI algorithm. When a phone is magnetically attached to the power bank and connected to a charging cable, it automatically enables wired charging at up to 22.5 W. In addition, when connected to a higher-power adaptor or power bank, it can reach a maximum output of 60 W.
On Wednesday, 2 April, China introduced the first mandatory national standard, “Technical Specifications for the Safety of Portable Charging Devices”. These standards were jointly developed with the China Electronics Standardization Institute and 30 leading companies, including Huawei, CATL, Lenovo, Xiaomi, Oppo, Anker, Ugreen, and others.
