Contract for 208 vehicles for the Malaysian Army

Brazilian manufacturer Agrale has announced the sale and forthcoming export of a significant batch of Marruá AM250 utility vehicles to Malaysia, as part of a contract to supply 208 units for the country’s South-East Asian army. The deal was finalised with an upfitting company based in Kuala Lumpur, marking Agrale’s entry into the important South-East Asian market.

Deliveries and production schedule in Caxias do Sul

Agrale reports that the first units of the Agrale Marruá AM250 have already been shipped to their destination. Meanwhile, the remaining vehicles are currently being built at Unit 2 of the company’s plant in Caxias do Sul, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with deliveries planned to be completed by the end of 2026.

Malaysia-specific configuration, including right-hand drive (RHD)

The vehicles being supplied were specified in line with the customer’s operational requirements and Malaysia’s applicable regulations. Among the changes is the adoption of right-hand drive (RHD), the standard layout in countries where traffic drives on the left-hand side of the road.
